Adam Hegedus

Managing Director

Adam co-founded Educating The Future in 2016 following a school immersion in 2014, where he witnessed the disparity of education standards between Timor-Leste and Australia. Adam is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-Op) at the University of New South Wales.

Adam has worked in and across the not-for-profit, public, financial services and energy sectors, where he developed skills in structured problem solving for complex systems issues. This assists him in his role as Managing Director and Chairman of the Educating The Future Board. 

Natalie Del Vecchio

Company Secretary 

Natalie works for a multinational Professional Services firm, where she is able to assist her clients with their challenging organisational issues. She brings this expertise to her role at Educating The Future, where she specialises in risk management and governance. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Business from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. 

Since joining Educating The Future in 2016, Natalie has been to Timor-Leste twice to gain a better contextual understanding of education standards within the country. 

Oscar Osborne

Treasurer and Deputy Chair 

Oscar graduated as captain of Waverley College in 2014. He is currently a PhD student at the University of New South Wales, Sydney undergoing research on emerging economy firms. He has been involved with small start-up organisations and has experience working for large multinational companies, particularly in financial advisory divisions.

Jenny Katrivesis

Jenny is the Director and Founder of Chilli IQ, a media company that develops leading events for the legal profession. In her role as Project Director – Conferences, she is responsible for the creation of each event; developing relevant content and sourcing leading speakers that drive its success. 

Jenny holds a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) and has been nominated for the Telstra Business Awards. Chilli IQ was the recipient of the UK Legal IT Insiders international award of Leading Conference company for Legal events in 2019.  

John Cucinotta

John Cucinotta is an experienced Chartered Accountant and Solicitor with over 39 years of Accounting, Tax and Commercial experience. He is the principal of an accounting practice in Parramatta which specialises in Taxation, Accounting and Business Advising.

He holds a Bachelor of Economic (Syd), Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia, Graduate Diploma in Law (LPAB) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law in Sydney.

Jessica Irving

Jessica is a Senior Associate at a leading international law firm, with a broad practice in general employment and industrial relations law. She regularly advises clients on multi-jurisdictional issues and assists many not-for-profit organisations on a pro bono basis to navigate a variety of complex legal issues. 

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of International Relations from Griffith University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law in Brisbane.

Raff Del Vecchio

Raff is an experienced company Director and Senior Executive with a great interest in corporate governance in the not for profit sector. Coupling his desire for best practice governance and commitment to social equity, Educating The Future is the perfect organisation to lend a hand in assisting the less fortunate to a quality education.

Glen Kotopoulos

Glen is a senior company executive with a career that spans more than 25 years across Asia Pacific and the USA. Specialising in the financial markets, he has a wealth of knowledge in business strategy and operational expertise.

His association with Educating The Future allows Glen to apply his insights and skill set in mentoring and supporting an exciting youth leadership team to continuing growth and development of this important initiative.


Grace Harding

Grace’s passion for education sparked in high school following involvement with social justice initiatives and a school immersion to Tanzania. Since then it has developed into a commitment to use her own education to help improve the access and quality of education for those less fortunate. Grace joined Educating The Future at the beginning of 2018, firstly as part of the Marketing and Fundraising Team and now as a member of the Leadership Team.

As Grace learns and works to achieve our goals and find solutions for setbacks, her passion and drive for the importance of preschool education in Timor-Leste continues to grow.


Jessica Lay

Jessica is a first generation Australian born Timorese. She is dedicated to making a difference for all who suffer disadvantages, and is proactive in seeking opportunities that will transform the quality of life for Timorese youth. Jessica has used her skills and experiences to guide, lead and encourage the internal youth team alongside her peers. She is committed to building our leaders of the future and continues to support the growth and development of our team with her leadership.

Jessica is currently studying a Bachelor of International Global Studies at the University of Sydney.

Tyler von der Heyden

After travelling to Timor in 2015 and experiencing the disparity between Australia and Timor-Leste, Tyler was inspired to help make a difference to the lives of the Timorese people whose kind-hearted nature and contagious positivity had such an impact on his own life.

He joined the ETF team in 2017 as a programs team member, and in early 2019 was given the opportunity to become a member of the leadership team. Since joining, Tyler has travelled back to Timor on multiple occasions, each trip expanding his knowledge of the country and reaffirming his drive and passion to give back to the Timorese people.
